Currently searching for an experienced I&E Superintendent for a direct placement opportunity in the Plaquemine, LA area.  This is an outstanding opportunity for the right individual.
  • Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products as our highest priority.
  • Prepare and administer programs, methods, systems, and practices for reducing costs and improving employee and plant efficiency, safety, productivity, and reliability.
  • Serve as technical steward for I&E maintenance processes. Ensures the adherence of necessary industry best practices. Ensures technical “know-how” is communicated throughout the organization.
  • Ensure implementation of a proper preventative maintenance program for plant instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, and electrical equipment as demonstrated through key measures.
  • Direct and manage the site electrical resources.
  • Must be able to assist in planning, scheduling and implementation of I&E related outage activities.
  • Serve as an I&E trouble-shooting resource for the site maintenance groups. Offers technical ability and methodologies for problem solving.
  • Oversees process related I&E incident investigations.

Requirements

  • Must have experience in PSM Facilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of instrument, analytical, or electrical experience within a plant environment.
  • Ability to provide technical expertise on the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repairs of plant instrumentation, control systems, analyzers and electrical equipment.
  • Conduct evaluation tests on valves, motors, instruments, etc
  • Must be proficient in troubleshooting using control loop drawing, schematics, ladder logic, electrical one-line, and process and instrument drawings (P&IDs).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to coordinate instrument, electrical distribution system, and analytical upgrades from specification to installation.
  • Experience with high voltage systems (138KV, 13.8KV, 4160V), circuit breakers, motor starters, relaying, cable terminations and repairs, with an understanding of HIPOT, TTR, Phasing and Meggar testing.
  • Knowledgeable of electrical safety requirements as found in publications such as NFPA 70E.
  • Knowledge of rectifiers and transformers.
  • Knowledge of NERC and FERC regulations.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
